Elaine started reenacting in 2003 with a Boy Scout Venturing Crew. Mother of two adult children, David and Elise, she lives in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. With her husband, John, she is half of the band Tin Cremona, in which she plays "all the other instruments" - tin whistle, bones, jawbone, triangle, and tambourine, among others. She plays tin whistle in her church's worship band. Along with John, she is co-author of the book I Like That Good Old Song, a book of period music. In addition to being a dance mistress, she is interested in period cooking and modern photography. Among other reenacting portrayals, she curates the Museum of Marvels. In all seriousness, she has far too many interests for her own good.
