Jennifer McCardell Green is the second of three generations of reenactors, with nearly three decades of experience in the hobby.  She is an avid researcher, her favorite subjects including opera in the 1860s, the Appalachian South during the American Civil War, and the average, working class person of the era.  Jennifer attended the University of Mississippi, studying Voice Performance and Old South Studies.  She currently serves as Vice President of Events for the Homefront Herald, Inc.

Married nine years to Jason Green, who she reluctantly dragged into Civilian reenacting, she is mother to two children, Mac, seven, and Clara, who is nearly two.  They recently purchased a brick farmhouse built in the 1830s in Kingsport, TN, with rumors of cannonballs buried on the property.  Born in southeastern Pennsylvania, raised in southern Maine, and living in Northeast Tennessee, she considers herself a true Confederate Yankee.
